I am writing to report a deeply upsetting experience I had on Tuesday, November 25th, at approximately 5:32 PM at the Golden Valley Starbucks location.
I visited the drive-thru and requested my usual pink drink with the inclusions on the side. This has been my standard order for about a year and I had even received it that same way earlier that morning without any issues. However, the barista on duty told me abruptly that this was “against policy.” When I questioned this sudden change, she responded in a rude and dismissive manner, saying, “Well, I don’t know what to tell you,” and refused to provide her name when I asked again.
I want to be clear: I felt not only disrespected but also very offended by the harsh and brash way I was treated. It is difficult not to consider whether this treatment had anything to do with my identity as an African American woman, because I have never experienced such an unkind interaction at this location before.
To add context, another employee did try to rectify the situation. He offered to comp my order due to the inconvenience, but I declined because I am not looking for a freebie. I paid for my purchase because I value being a paying customer. My concern is about the principle of how I was treated and the lack of respect and fairness shown to me.
I trust that you will address this issue appropriately. It is unfortunate that I now feel uncomfortable returning to a location I once frequented, and I hope steps can be taken to ensure that no other customer has to feel this way.

The customer service here is excellent. Nick and Joshua were very friendly and attentive during my visit. I was greeted promptly, the cafe was clean, and everything was top-notch!

Today, I found the service to be friendly and helpful and very enjoyable. The place was busy, coffee and lemon cake we're very tasty. the music selection is good every time I come in I find myself tapping my foot and enjoying it. I always enjoyed the speed of Wi-Fi at the Starbucks it seems faster than most.

Seriously they can't even fill up your cup when you ask for light ice. It's impossible for them to figure out the proper ratio with out the extra ice....I just want my cup full with light ice. Is that so hard to ask..
