Dr. Yao is very compassionate about his craft and explains everything in great detail. Nice environment, AAHA accredited so it’s held to some higher standard; staff is nice. OK prices except for the $14 medical waste fee…seems a little high; other places don’t usually charge this separately or charge this at all.

Our family recently had to make the hardest decision — to put our beloved 12-year-old Penny to sleep. Our hearts have been shattered since that day, but the compassion and care from everyone at this office truly meant the world to us.
The staff was absolutely attentive to our needs. They explained everything clearly and gave us as much time as we needed to be with Penny. There was never any rush — everything was done on our time. Penny was treated with such love, dignity, and respect.
Dr. Tognetti’s kindness and genuine emotion showed how deeply she cares for her patients and their families. We are forever grateful for the compassion shown to us and to Penny during such a painful moment.
Thank you to the entire team for helping us through one of the hardest days of our lives. ❤️

Literally best vet I have ever been to! The kindness and the care are incredible! Super knowledgeable and really took time to listen and help my baby! If you have a fur kiddo with special needs like autoimmune disease or something complicated look no further! If you just need simple care too perfect! Also did not pressure me to spend a bunch of money on things not needed, they simplified options to not overwhelm me financially. The prices are also extremely reasonable! Can’t say enough good things! So blessed to finally have found my fur kiddos medical care ❤️

It is very hard to find a vet you can truly trust. From the front office to the back office staff, you're greeted with a warm and caring vibe. It's rare to come across a veterinarian who takes the time to ensure all your questions are thoroughly answered. I was offered multiple treatment options for my Gracie allowing me to choose one that best fit my budget. This is such a refreshing change from the hard sales and lack of alternatives I've experienced elsewhere. I've seen a few vets at Valencia veterinary center. That said, I must admit Dr. Yao is my favorite!

My baby got sick. Our current Vet didn't have an opening. I was panicking because she is in her later years. I wanted someone to just fix her. I remembered that Valencia Veterinary has emergency hours.
I called but there was no answer so I submitted an online request. They called me within a couple hours. They were super sweet and made an appointment for the next day. They even pulled up her previous chart from an emergency visit back in 2012.
I arrived 30 minutes early so I could show them the updated vaccines. I was expecting to wait since I was super early. They immediately put us in a room!!! They were very helpful and caring. Within 11 minutes the nurse was in to take Tinkerbell back for the exam.
I ended up having to leave her for fluids and treatment. The doctor didn't push any treatment or test. I chose which ones I wanted with absolutely no pressure. They said about 2 hours. The whole thing ended up taking about 2 hours 40 minutes. Which is super impressive.
The price is on point. They are an amazing facility. Not the cheapest but absolutely fair and worth it.
They even cleaned the rooms between clients.
I can't say enough about the wonderful staff and exquisite facility. They absolutely care about the animals and people.
Tinkerbell was drowsy from the treatment but recovered by that evening. She is back to normal now.
