We had an urgent need for my dog’s head wound on a Sunday and our usual vet was closed. Found Grand Canyon. open, with a non emergency, walk in appointment available. They were so thorough, and provided great care to my dog at a very reasonable price. I really felt they were honest in their assessment, treatment and pricing. We will be back, and we recommend this vet.

Worst experience I’ve ever experience at a veterinary hospital. I took my cat in because he was dealing with a UTI and wasn’t getting better. Trying to find a urgent appointment (our regular vet didn’t have any openings), Grand Canyon was available. When going in the receptionist was very friendly ( the only thing good about this experience). Once we went in to see the veterinarian, the only person who talked to me was his assistant, never once did he ask me questions or checked my cat in front of me. I told the assistant what my cat has been dealing with and what our regular veterinarian prescribed him. She was not really interested on my concern of my cat and mention just giving him more medication. I had a gut feeling that my cat was dealing with more pain then he should be so I asked for them to give him an xray. At this point they take my cat to take x-rays, once they got the x ray photos I finally meet the veterinarian (my cat was still in the back), he explains to me that my cat had stones (usually caused by bad diet) that are causing blockage for my cat to not use the restroom. He first told me that I had two options to either take medication to break those stones down or to do surgery. While he was explaining this to me he was very calm and made it sound like medication will help and my cat would be okay. He then left to have his assistant give me what the bill will be for the both options. When she came back in I notice that for the surgery was $8,000 and the medication was $2,000. I completely understand that having an animal it can be pricey, but since this wasn’t my regular vet I wasn’t comfortable making that decision without a second opinion. I kindly let the assistant know that I would like time to think about my options. She assumed I meant more time to think but I told her no I would like to have my cat back and weigh my options at home. She proceed to tell me that I’m making the wrong choice and that I should rethink what I was doing. That my cat is in much pain that these blockage can be bigger and can kill him at any moment. The way she was talking to me wasn’t needed during that moment, and at this point I called my sister being unsure want to do. When she came in again the assistant was the only person that talked to us and explained our options. Once she explained more about the medication option she pretty much told us it wouldn’t do anything cause he was in deep pain and that we should do the surgery. The assistant even went to details about putting our cat down if we couldn’t afford the surgery. At this point we still didn’t see the veterinarian and haven’t got my cat back. We had enough and told the assistant to give our cat back because we’re leaving! They made us sign a consent form that we were aware we were going against vets recommendation. The next day we went to our regular veterinarian and he let us know that yes our cat does have stones but that they are so minor that he doesn’t need surgery. That he doesn’t know why these people wanted to put my cat down when he’s only 3 years old, has good teeth and a great heart beat! And to the assistant that talked bad to us and said my cat wasn’t gonna live one more day, it’s been over a year and he’s living his best life on a well diet!

Very Friendly and Patient Staff. Veterinarian is always very knowledgeable and explained to use the different reasons why our cat might not feel too good. My wife comes her every time it’s urgent emergency.

Sunday night our dog was bit by a rattlesnake, they were open, and had wide open arms for our little guy. They saved his life and I will be forever grateful to them. Sebastian, Gabby and Dr. Kaul is very kind. This veterinary office is my family's vet and now our vet too. Thank you everyone!

You know, I really thought that this was my vet. Yes, we know that having a dog or a cat cost money and heaven forbid they get sick and need care. We are all well aware that it's gonna come at a premium. My dog had 14 teeth pulled a year ago. They did work with me and whittled the price down, but I believe I still paid $2500. I believe I have leftover medication from his surgery. I have all the pain meds that he barely needed by the way. And I came in today because he had one loose tooth. From the moment I saw the vet tech. She did not put my mind at ease. She had an edge to her, even as explaining about the prior surgery that I had she couldn't help but correct me on my timing. There was just something really off with her. The doctor couldn't have been nicer. I explained that we had been through this major surgery a year ago and that I had a lot of leftover meds left and she totally understood because we both know that that's gonna be rolled in to the cost and she said oh it's not gonna be a major deal this time it's gonna be easy yada yada yada so when I was meeting with the vet tech again, she informed me that my estimate is $1500 for one tooth including $260 for medication which I had already told the doctor I have at home and she whipped her head around and looked at me like I was crazy and asked me well. When was that filled??? Couldn't have been ruder or Less understanding. Little do they know if someone would've been nice to me I would've just said if I'm gonna go Ahead and do it. The vet tech was nasty and rude, so I'm not going back there. I can't give them my money.
