The food is good. It's a small, cozy spot, though it can feel a bit tight or cramped. Still, the quality of the food makes up for the limited space. Kinda wish they were open later. Pregnancy cravings kick in after hours.

Traveling through Valencia and wanted to find a comfy, local brunch place - Nealie's was exactly what we were looking for! Conveniently right off the highway too. Lots of people when we went in, but not too many - just enough to tell us we picked a good place to eat. Even though our waitress was the only one taking care of everyone, she was attentive and very welcoming. Highly recommend the Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich - it's messy, but delicious! Would definitely stop by again anytime we're traveling through.

I went to Nealie’s Skillet to pick up a to-go order, and what should have been a simple transaction turned into an experience I feel compelled to share.
When I arrived and inquired about my order, Neal—the owner himself—was immediately dismissive and rude. His attitude wasn’t just unprofessional; it was hostile. While I sat waiting for my food, his behavior continued to be unwelcoming and disrespectful, making what should have been a brief wait feel uncomfortable and demeaning.
But what happened next crosses a serious line: After I left with my order, my phone was flooded with calls from the restaurant. They repeatedly called to accuse me of trying to “defame their company” and insisting I was lying about my experience.
Let me be clear: I’m not defaming anyone. I’m sharing an honest account of what happened to me as a customer. Business reviews exist to create transparency in order to help other customers make informed decisions and to give businesses feedback about their service. That’s exactly what I’m doing here.
The fact that this business responded to a customer’s negative experience by harassing them with phone calls is deeply concerning and, frankly, far more troubling than the original poor service. This kind of response to criticism suggests a fundamental misunderstanding of how customer feedback works and raises serious questions about how this establishment handles accountability.
I cannot recommend a business that not only provides poor service but then attempts to intimidate customers who speak honestly about their experience.

Finally tried Nealie's. Not disappointed. Service was a little slow and unorganized, but the food seemed very "cooked to order," and very artisan. Really well prepared and tasty. Brunch prices were LA high which was the main downside, but the lunch menu looked a little more reasonable. Atmosphere is nothing great, 2010-style wood planks on the walls inside, and a burned out building outside.
