I wanted to like this place, I really did.
After hearing about the chain for several years, I was finally near one and decided to stop by.
We showed up at 10am on a Monday, there were only a few customers.
I would rate the atmosphere is typical. Not great, not offensive. The minimum effort required to keep customers satisfied.
There was only a single staff member waiting tables, as expected for this time/day.
The prices seemed quite high but we figured based on the reputation, this was a good sign.
We ordered our breakfast and when we got it, the food just looked BLAH.
A white plate, with dried out, flavorless food. The portions were decent but if you can't get yourself to eat the food, does it really matter how much they give you?
After only eating a few bites, the restaurant got fairly busy and was still handled by a single person. The service instantly became terrible. We had to wait another 15 minutes just to ask for the bill.
OUCH! $48!!!!
For two people, nothing exotic. One plate was sausage and eggs, the other waffles and eggs. One water, one soda.
Between the really bad food and the super high prices, this is the last time we will eat here.
One final note:
When you are an American diner, serving American food, it is important that your cooks understand the culture and understand what good food tastes like. The cook at this restaurant obviously in not American and is incapable ot knowing what a good breakfast should taste like.
I cannot make a great burrito, so I don't try.
If you don't love American breakfast, you shouldn't be trying to make them. This applies to all restaurants.

It's a local diner that I am so glad we tried. The service was amazing and food was delicious! Prices are very fair and portions are big. OMG we had 1 pancake for the table of 3...we could not finish it, but it was the best ever!! We will be back...

Our favorite breakfast stop along the 5. Been there several times and will continue to return. Good food and very large portions. We usually will share one dish and have plenty to eat. The server has always been attentive and helpful. The business is military and law enforcement friendly too!

I'll start by saying the Canyon Country location is superior.
9am on a Saturday. Our food arrived on plates that had been "cleaned," but not well: burn stains on the plate of pancakes, but the pancakes were themselves not burnt. The omelette came with a free strand of hair cooked right in. The bacon was half burn and half under cooked somehow? And the scrambled eggs tasted as though they were made solely of grease. The hash browns appeared by be reheated leftovers.
