Staff is great. Love my dentist & oral surgeon. I’ve been coming here for a few years for my regular cleanings. Recently had a tooth infection & the team has been amazing with the process. They are very thorough in explaining the process & what is needed.

They jump too quickly to dental crowns as a solution even if that treatment is inappropriate for the situation.

I had a very concerning experience at this dental office.After my exam, I was told I had 11 cavities and that there was a chance my Medi-Cal insurance would not cover the fillings. I asked if they could submit a pre-authorization to Medi-Cal first so I could know what would be covered before doing any treatment.
The staff told me they could not submit anything to insurance unless the procedure was done first, which didn’t make sense to me since I have had Medi-Cal for years and have never had to pay out of pocket for fillings.
I was also told that sometimes they don’t even send small cavities to Medi-Cal, which raised additional concerns for me.
Because of this, I did not feel comfortable proceeding with treatment without knowing whether my insurance would cover it. Patients deserve transparency and the ability to verify insurance coverage before being responsible for a large bill.I would recommend asking a lot of questions and getting a second opinion before agreeing to treatment.
