I recently bought a house at the beach, that came with a 40 year old gas fireplace, that was corroded, and therefore unusable. I was looking to replace it with an electric fireplace insert. I had called a local construction company, that was recommended by a fireplace store. Fortunately for me, they were only going to simply insert a very small electric fireplace into the existing firebox, and that was not acceptable. After some searching, I decided to call 1st Class Fireplace Inspections & Services, and I am so glad that I did! The owners, Kelly and Johnny, couldn't have been nicer.
Johnny came out, scoped my fireplace, and even flew a drone over the house to look at the top of the chimney. After discussing my situation, Johnny recommended a state of the art, 36" Flame Masters electric fireplace. Kelly promptly emailed a very comprehensive quote, outlining the scope of work, and price. Upon signing the agreement, we set a date for installation.
On Monday, Josh, and Jason came out to install my new fireplace insert. This was a 2 day process, during which they removed the entire firebox, capped off the gas line, ran electric for the plug, patched drywall, and installed the new unit. They were professional, hard working, and extremely clean.
We couldn't be happier with our new fireplace. 1st Class Fireplace exceeded my expectations, and have turned me into a raving fan! I highly recommend them for any of your fireplace needs.

I had a great experience with 1st Class Fireplace & Chimney Inspections/Services. Instead of pushing unnecessary service, they honestly suggested that I first check with the gas company regarding a pilot light issue. They were absolutely right — the gas company fixed it at no cost. I really appreciate their honesty and professionalism. Thank you for saving me time and money. Highly recommend!

I had an old unused fireplace that needed some TLC to get it back into working order, and 1st Class Fireplace came through. Very easy to work with, clear and succinct explanations about what was needed, and transparent pricing. The guys that performed the work were on time, professional, and friendly. I cannot recommend 1st Class Fireplace & Chimney Inspections/Services enough. I reached out to them to troubleshoot my gas fireplace that was not operating properly, and they were extremely professional and knowledgeable. I am a general contractor and deal with multiple types of vendors on a daily basis, and I know a solid outfit when I see one. It is also important to support our local SCV businesses. I will happily recommend them to any family members and/or friends who are experiencing issues with their gas fireplaces, and they will be my first call if I experience any further issues.
