My friend and I stopped by here on a whim while visiting the area and when we saw that they offered breakfast sandwiches and pastries.
The woman who served us was so incredibly kind and nice and thoughtful and the food and coffee was fresh and delicious!
Why look for a Starbucks or a donut shop when you can come here and get freshly made, good quality food and service?
The croissants were HUGE, fresh and so delicious.
The chicken tamales? AMAZING! And the apple fritters are so dang good that Im considering driving the 30 miles back out there just to get another one.
Do yourself a favor and try this little gem of a spot. Not only will you be supporting a local business which is always good, but youll also be able to enjoy fresh food that's deliciously made and presented to you by one of the sweetest women in the world!

California Bakery is a gem! Their doughnuts are fluffy and delicious, with fun flavors like glazed and cinnamon sugar that hit the spot every time. The tamales are just as amazing—tasty, well-seasoned, and wrapped perfectly. The staff is friendly, the vibe is cozy, and the prices are fair. I keep coming back for more of both! Highly recommend this spot for a quick treat or meal. Five stars!

California Bakery & Cafe is my go-to spot for a reason. The pastries are always fresh and flaky, and the bread is fantastic—perfect for a sandwich or just to enjoy on its own. Their coffee is consistently well-made and pairs perfectly with anything from their menu. The staff is always friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. It's a reliable spot for a great breakfast or a quick coffee break, and I've never been disappointed.

The lady is so rude she doesn’t even greet you when you walk in. I asked for a cup of ice water and she says she doesn’t have any. Then I asked how much is the water bottles and she changed the price on me. I came here to try 1 tamale and the lady was giving me a hard time saying I have to have a minimum of $5 to purchase in order to use my card. Very rude lady I will not be coming back here with there fake sign sticker on the window that says best tamales in town. I had better tamales and I don’t trust these people making it! Will not be coming back here!

Tried this place for a second but this time I walked out. Customer service doest exist here. People behind the counter first ignore you then when I was attended the lady just walked up and looked at me. No greeting just looked. As I was about to order another lady hollered something at her and as I was talking she turned away to respond. Clealy they dont NEED my money.
The food is good but Vallarta is down the street and Burrito King is next door. Will spend my money there.
