Cleanliness of the bathroom was extremely lacking. The bathroom jacuzzi whirlpool we were excited about was unusable because it was disgusting. I wish I would’ve gotten pictures I was shocked they left it that gross. The jets have red/brown buildup in them. I can’t imagine what nasty stuff would’ve come out if we used the jets. The toilet was dirty on the part where the seat hinges to the toilet— like really gross I wiped it myself.
Luckily, the bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean so I’m really happy about that! The pillows however— seem like they’re 10 years old. There is what looks like a skid mark on the couch.
Breakfast is the part that disappointed us the most, mostly the service. It was okay, but the only protein options were microwaved bacon with a hair in it. On the second day- it was warmed up deli lunch meat ham?? Strange. And the worker was incredibly disrespectful and rude. Breakfast stuff was being taken away from people WHILE they/we were currently making food at the counter grabbing things, and it was not even 9:30 yet, at 9:20 the butter spray for the waffle maker was already gone.. all that did was create more of a mess for her to clean. I get breakfast closes at 9:30 but it wasn’t EVEN 9:30 yet, and I was in line waiting behind someone to make a waffle after them and she takes all the silverware and plates. It’s unacceptable to clean up early, especially with people waiting for the waffle machine that has no butter. She turned off the juice machine, took away the milk and bowls and people were putting cereal in the waffle batter cups. Just so rude in my opinion, it felt like a power trip of taking food and stuff from people who were already in the process of trying to eat. It was very weird and frustrating. I’ve never experienced that any hotel before. If she wants to get off earlier she should get a different job, on top of that she was talking on the phone with her AirPod in which made her even more unapproachable.

So, go into this remembering it is a lower cost hotel and you should be okay.
Breakfast is standard hotel free breakfast. Likely powdered eggs, microwaved, sausage, bacon, or ham (depending on rotation), waffles (cinnamon while we were there), bagels, toast, danishes, cereal, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and milk. Small outside eating area for the nice mornings too. Please consider giving the breakfast lady at least $1/room/day. $1 for your family to have breakfast is a pretty good deal that helps out someone helping you. Many tip maids but forget about her.
Rooms really need some help though. Rusted shower head, tub and sink drains, and discolored/missing caulk at base of toilet. They provide about 10, outdated usb connections and several standard plugs. Problem is, most of the plugs are worn out and hardly hold a plug and outdated usb doesn't help Like $7/room replacement cost of plugs pllus cost of maintenance guy for an hour would fix that. Little things really make the difference. A scuffed wall (which would be nice to fix too) can be forgiven if people can plug in all their crap.
Hotels should just do a way with carpet and go all laminate, wood, or whatever. Easier to clean and actually clean instead of holding onto whatever fluids have been in it. They also need to switch to all smart tvs or make sure a usable HDMI port is available for external viewing devices (firestick, apple tv, phones/tablets/laptops) for people to bring their entertainment. Beds are pretty comfortable as are sheets and blankets.
Parking is pretty good. Several spots and they don't charge to park. Gets a bit full at night when busy (our 2 recent trips were 4th of July and now Halloween). Enough spots just might not get close to your needed door.
Location is probably my favorite thing. Yes, about 10min farther from Magic Mountain the the ones right there at MM Pkwy and the 5 but, the drive down The Old Road is beautiful and relaxing. On way to the hotel are several stores, restaurants, and fast food. JIB right in front, IHOP and El Pollo Loco right across street. AM/PM also across, BK and Taco Bell 2min down street. Plenty of sitdown and other food (street food too) right there. And area is quiet (currently our second stay with another already booked before end of year.
They staff have always been pleasant. Front desk, maids, breakfast lady, maids and others are all smiles and eager to help.
Pool not the fanciest but will get you wet when needed. A few areas for smokers to do their thing and not disturb others..
For the price, it is a pretty good stay. Minor, inexpensive repairs, could really give it a boost. Still staying in December and probably our 4 trips next year. Not going to have a mint on your pillow or turndown service but you will get a good night's sleep and not go broke.

Smelled bad, bugs in the beds and on walls, don't plan on sleeping much. You can hear everything above you and next to you and across from you... Bathroom door doesn't lock, toilet would not flush, they gave us a plunger that didn't work properly either, couldn't use the toilet for almost 2 days. Waffle maker broken. The place needs to be completely gutted, redone and better insulated.

We went to our first room and the sink has flooded the floor. The staff got us a new room. It looked identical to the first without the flood. It was clean but the maid missed part of someone’s snack on the room divider. The hotel is nice but you can tell it needs some tlc. Floor tiles cracked, floor boards missing.
The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast was as you would expect.
I wonder what the other hotels in the area that had lower rating were like.

We recently booked at this hotel during a trip along the I-5 corridor and, unfortunately, weren't aware of the major highway construction happening overnight through 2026. Traveling with a one-year-old made the unexpected delays between 8 PM and 5 AM especially challenging, and we had to make some significant adjustments to our plans.
Despite the hiccup, the hotel truly impressed us with their responsiveness and empathy. The manager personally reached out after we contacted them and went above and beyond to help us navigate our booking situation, even though we found out about the roadwork quite late. In a time when genuine customer care feels increasingly rare, this experience stood out. We’re incredibly grateful for the support—and that kind of service makes all the difference.
