    Kristine has been my trainer for a number of months. Simply put, she was great. When we started I had a rotator cuff injury. Kristine was very good at monitoring my movement to help me prevent any strain or re-injury of my shoulder as well as, strengthen the area. She is patient, and was good at assessing me, knowing when to push certain routines harder. She was observant, watching and correcting form to get the best out of a routine. She brought in a TRX suspension system from time to time. They’re great and it was totally appreciated. Really adds a new dimension to a workout.

    Customer service by the managers all here are not only rude but they lie lie lie to my dad. My dad is a Golds Gym member for 15 years and being told IN WRITING that he does not have an $49.95 annual fee but then they turn around and charge him without his knowledge or consent?!! Just because you have someone’s credit card on file does not mean you get to charge whatever amount you want whenever you want. It is not what he signed up for. He was told it’s because cost-of-living goes up blah blah blah but not everyone’s wages go up.My dad didn’t get a raise at his job he is actually low income senior!!!! they also raised the rates three dollars a month. The manager said it was “only $3 increase ” but when you look at that PLUS the $49.95 annual fee it does add up. Maybe their managers and marketing team make lots of money, so they don’t think “only $3” is a big deal but it is. It’s the principle not the cost and they lie about it. DONT SAY THERE ARE NO ANNUAL FEES YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEN CHARGE MEMBERS. You need to tell your marketing team they need to let people know ahead of time if they’re going to make any changes with annual fees or etc IN ADVANCE IN WRITING IN EMAILS OR LETTERS OR PHONE CALL not just yank the money out whenever they feel like it . communication is key you will lose your customers this way.

    I had a body scan evaluation with Esteban at Gold’s Gym in Valencia and had a really good experience. It was my first time meeting with a potential trainer and didn’t know what to expect but Esteban was really patient and I felt really comfortable talking to him about my fitness goals. I would definetly recommend him to family and friends and anyone interested in learning more about their fitness journey.

    Upscale facility in a high end shopping area. However, I didn't love working out there for a few reasons. 1.The staff was basically indifferent and not very friendly. 2. There's only a couple of actual free weight squat racks and not really any place to do dead lifts that wasn't in a traffic pathway. Lots of people preening with dumbbells' but not much hardcore lifting. Given the storied history of Gold's Gym I was expecting something more, this seemed like a Planet Fitness/ Spa gym with all the various machines vs a serious old school muscle vibe.

    I did 5 training sessions with Kristine. She was very thorough, explained things well and gave gentle reminders when i messed up my form. She has an excellent knowledge base and quickly made adaptations for me. She is very easy to get along with! Supergood use of my money. 😀
