Excellent hotel for group events!! We hosted a very large, several day long event for about 80 to 100 people in Newhall with the Lexen being our center of operations. The style of the hotel was perfect - a little bit cowboy/wild west, a little bit futuristic, with lots of attention to detail. Prior to booking the management was incredibly kind and generous with their time, taking us on several tours of the hotel, answering about a million questions and giving us a really nice group rate. We rented the Penthouse as staff housing for the event and it was big enough to also serve as a hospitality suite. We also used the meeting room, the 2nd floor bar and the third floor patio for various parts of the event - all three spaces were accommodating, comfortable, clean and spacious. The staff was all friendly and helpful, especially the manager, assistant manager and the bartender, who worked to make sure our guests were having fun and had everything they needed. The bar was able to serve some personalized drinks for our event and it put a very special touch on the weekend.
The location is within walking distance to restaurants and shopping and Hart Park, which made things like a picnic breakfast in the park or a tour of the historic train depot for our guests very easy. The hotel is also close to the actual, modern train (which makes it easy to arrive from Burbank air port) and while this did wake me up on the first night, I turned on a fan for some white noice the next night and had no issues with outside noise.
We had a wonderful time here, our guests were happy and we were able to host a meaningful event at the Lexen on a modest budget. Highly recommended for other small groups to do the same.

A fun stay when we needed it. This place was easy to find, secure underground parking, walk right in to hotel, easy check in, elevator ready to take you up.... even the elevator was artfully done :) The room was very European with it's glass bathroom door, fantastic shower head (really), Western shower curtain... comfortable bed with wall lamps for just right lighting or a directed reading lamp. Was there train tracks near by...yep. After about 3 short passenger trains we slept like babies, Main St was a happy stroll, dining , wine, trees lit up, a theater for live plays, etc. Reminds you of Napa. Breakfast was perfect for us, coffee, juice, cereal, pastries, apples, yogurt, etc. We hope to stay there again.

Pros: clean rooms, convenient parking.
Cons:
1- The floor linoleum pieces are not adequately glued down. They are heaving up. So every time you step on them, they make a sound.
2- There is a rail road track across the street. The train passes by every 3 to 4 hours; day and night. The hotel provides you with ear plugs on the night stand, which help. But if you are a light sleeper, this hotel is not for you.

Boutique Excellence – My New Favorite in Valencia
I recently stayed at Hotel Lexen for an unexpectant overnight trip from approximately one hour north while my vehicle was at a local dealership for a warranty repair. From the moment I arrived, the experience was exceptional.
Every member of the staff I encountered was incredibly friendly and professional. They were kind enough to change my accommodations to a first-floor room immediately upon my request. The hotel possesses a great deal of character, and the decor is truly top-notch.
I must say that, overall, this was my best hotel stay to date. It even surpassed my long-time favorite, West Inn and Suites in Carlsbad. I have a saying that boutique hotels are like short men: they work harder for your affection! Affection has been received, Hotel Lexen.
Even my dealership service advisor was impressed. He arranged my transportation to the hotel and remarked on how well-appointed the property was during both my drop-off and pick-up. He even stated that he will be looking into staying there himself in the future.
I have informed my family and friends of this experience. Hotel Lexen is now locked in for me and my family. I will definitely return.

A clean and well maintained hotel. It is the best hotel in Santa Clarita area. A nice front desk smart guy by the name Francis went above and beyond to accommodate us. We will definitely stay here in this hotel again and again. Parking is so convenient and safe. I will recommend this to my friends and family. Thank you Francis and Lexen!!!!!!
