Free guidance for this GM: If your own posted signage and the Golds website state that you’re ready to receive new customers at 8am, you need to keep your contract and your word. You need to either change your promise to 8:30am, or you need to tell your lazy sales teammates to show up the 30 minutes earlier to keep your stated commitment. You also need to train your FDA/Front Desk Associate to handle the response for this shortfall. I’ve been a strength coach since 2008 - gyms with these seemingly “small” problems always have other issues. I would like to highlight a janitor at the LA Fitness in Valencia who is very dedicated to his job. You can tell he also trains at the gym, so I can say he is a very disciplined and organized person. He is tall and wears glasses, and sometimes I have seen him wearing a cap.
I do not know his name, but whenever I see him he is always working. Before, I used to see him more often, but lately I only see him on weekends. Whenever he is there, the bathrooms and the gym stay very clean. There are no papers on the floor, and the towel dispensers are always stocked.
However, when the other workers are there, I often find the bathrooms dirty, with papers on the floor in the machine areas. Sometimes there is no toilet paper and no towels to clean the machines.
I just wanted to recognize his excellent work because he really makes a difference in keeping the gym clean.

They are removing the basketball/volleyball court..They have plenty of other empty rooms to add weights. How about replacing these raggedy exisiting machines? Good job ruining the athletes fun. Merry Christmas.. I guess. 0 stars if I could do that.

This is the worst LA Fitness location I have ever experienced, largely due to severely incompetent management. The manager on duty demonstrated a clear lack of understanding of the club’s own rules and regulations—policies that should be fundamental knowledge for anyone in a leadership role.
Instead of providing accurate information or attempting to resolve the issue professionally, the manager gave inconsistent explanations and handled the situation in a dismissive and unprofessional manner. This behavior reflects poor training, weak leadership, and a complete disregard for basic customer service standards. Members should not be expected to educate management on company policies.
What is most concerning is that this was a straightforward issue that could have been resolved quickly and appropriately if handled by someone knowledgeable and reliable. Instead, the situation escalated unnecessarily due to management’s lack of competence and accountability.
A company of this size should not tolerate this level of mismanagement. LA Fitness should seriously reconsider who they place in management positions at this location and hire someone who is reliable, properly trained, and capable of enforcing policies correctly and consistently. Until meaningful changes are made, I would strongly advise others to avoid this location.

I have seen people inspecting the machines today, and they all seem to be in good working condition.
This gym is spacious and has a great amount of equipment to get a workout in. There is a juice bar which has amazing prices. Basketball court has just been updated.
There's also a racquetball court which is very fun and amazing to get in the cardio going.
The staff is amazing. Although I don't blame the Janitor for the sometimes dirty locker room. It could use some fans to dry out the rooms when it is mopped.
