SCV Party Rental might be great for it's customers, but it's employees aren't paid on time and it effects their families. Supposedly checks are in the mail. š

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT do business with this man Jim or SCV party rentals company!! Very unprofessional!
Ordered tables and chairs for my daughters baby shower, the day before called to see what time they would be delivered. No call, no text, no email back. Next morning, ( day of ) still hadnāt got a delivery time. I called, I texted, I emailed and no answer. Now Iām panicking! After calling numerous of times Jim finally picked up! I asked him about the delivery and his response wasā¦ ā I tired to contact you Thursday!ā ( only sent a invoice about payment) NO CALL, NO EMAIL, NO NOTHING about anything else. I mentioned that and his response is, āwhile Iām 75 years old what you want me to doā¦!!ā Bottom line, at the very last minute he balled on us and had NO regard! This man Jim (company) ruined my daughters baby shower! It was on a Sunday and most companies are closed to quickly get other supplies! I shouldāve read the other reviews as they too had the same problem. Something was telling me not to send the full payment and so glad I didnāt!!!

I worked with Jim at SCV party rentals. Last year our order was delivered all wrong and they came back on the day of my sons graduation which made me late for his graduation. This year we used them again for my daughters graduation. Once items were picked up, we received a final bill of the agreed upon price of $595 which included $200 deliver charge. After we paid in full and they confirm check received, Jim sent us another bill for a tear down fee. We had 6table, 3umbrellas, and 35 chairs (we stacked the chairs just becuz we wanted them out of the way). However not once in any communication nor in our contract did Jim or his drive mention we needed to fold up the tables or they would charge us an addtl $99. Had they mentioned it we would have gladly done so. When I placed my order with Jim, I let him know I was at the hospital bcuz my mom had a stroke so I didnāt knit pick the order when some of the linen was delivered dirty. Now Iām being bombarded with another bill to break down six tables for $99. I will NOT pay any additional charges that was not ever discussed, or communicated nor in my original contract after Iāve paid my final bill. My final bill which was for the original amount was sent after all items were picked up. After it was paid I received the other bill. I called Jim and this has been a Horrible Horrible Horrible experience. He said heās taking me to court for the $99. I have all my emails and my invoices. Save yourself a headache use a company thatās upfront and professional. I was trying to support a local business even though my first experience was not great and now my second experience is worse, sooooo unprofessional.

I have been renting from SCV Rental Center for over 30 years. I think Jim (owner) is just great. He bends over backwards to make sure your party is the best. I have rented several trucks through the years to haul dune buggies and atvs to the desert and move my mom to Texas. My daughter owns an event planning business and has also used their tables,chairs,tents,etc.
She continues to use them and seems very happy.

This location and Budget Truck Rentals is a dentist of thrieves. After returning the truck with a receipt for gas, as requested, I was told that the gas was stolen out of the fuel tank. I was not provided any proof and I was not given any of my $150 deposit back. STAY AWAY. This guy runs a scam show!!
