My stay at Motel 8 in Santa Clarita was comfortable and met my needs well. I’m pretty self‑reliant, so I didn’t require much from the staff, but it was reassuring to see that they were always available and ready to help if needed.
The room was clean, and the linens were fresh, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was a bit on the smaller side, but it was still functional and tidy. The property is in a neutral, convenient location, making it easy to get around without any hassle.
Overall, it was a solid, pleasant stay — simple, clean, and supported by attentive staff!

Needed a room to stay in for a Christmas party that was close by. Not from the nearby area but do work in the SCV. I know this place fills up quick because I’ve been by there so many times as I had lived in the SCV for quite some time. Anyway, the best thing and probably one of the most important positives about this place are the beds. Sooooooo comfortable. The one thing that needs to improve is the television service / provider. No easy way to navigate through the channels. Overall, the staff was friendly and the the room was extremely clean.

We stayed almost a week. The staff was really nice. The room was clean and decent. The bedding was weird as they used a flat sheet for the fitted sheet so my kids pulled that off every night just sleeping. The bed was very comfortable. Hot tub jets were very strong so that was nice. The pool was cold and refreshing, kids (age 16 and 10) loved it. The whole place has laminate flooring so that was nice because there were no weird smells from some old carpet like most hotels. The breakfast was a bit disappointing. The literal definition of a continental breakfast; packaged danishes, bananas, small apples, bread for toast with butter and jelly, granola bars, individually wrapped Madeline cookies from Costco, orange juice, and coffee. But grab and go only as it was just a counter of the above items every day. The parking does suck as the parking lot is very small. Overall our stay was pleasant.

Misleading Advertising & Poor Conditions – Room 242
I stayed in room 242 and honestly wouldn’t recommend this hotel. They advertise a free breakfast, but it turned out to just be a few random packaged snacks no waffles, no pancakes, nothing hot or fresh. It felt really misleading, especially when you’re expecting an actual breakfast as part of your stay.
The condition of the room was disappointing. The bathtub floor was cracked and looked dirty, and the walls had stains and marks all over them. The walls were also very thin I could hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms. They claim the beds are kings, but I’m almost certain mine was a queen. On the bright side, the bed was surprisingly very comfortable.
Parking was super tight and crammed, which made it stressful to come and go. Also, the hallways had a strange, unpleasant smell that made the whole place feel less clean. Between the misleading amenities and poor room conditions, I wouldn’t stay here again.
