PLEASE AVOID THIS provider!! It's a shame that this is associated to UCLA...I can't believe this happened...
I was charged around one thousand dollars for an online visit just to get a prescription refill and speak with my primary physician, who has been my doctor for the past four years. Unfortunately, his previous clinic was shut down, and he had to move to UCLA Health. The virtual consultation lasted only five minutes. When I confronted the clinic about the high charge, they claimed it was necessary because it was my first visit and I have chronic conditions like high blood pressure and high cholesterol. However, all I needed was a refill! Of course the insurance didn't cover it and I got hit with a $650 FOR ONE ONLIVE VISIT as out of pocket. This feels like fraudulent practice and abuse.

This facility is the reason I left town. I've been seeing them for 4yrs. They do NOT care about you here. You're just another number in their system. The representatives are rude and they forget to submit important things like authorizations for needed medications.
California's medical system is so broken, and UCLA is the epitomy of the failed system. Move out of Los Angeles and go to another state that cares more about its patients.

Let me start by saying the staff were very nice. Sadly, that’s probably the only nice thing here. The facility is gross and made me feel like I was in a county hospital. The cabinets were falling apart, the walls had giant paint chips, even the ceiling was broken. The small desk in the exam room looked like a portable table from Costco. And there was a sign that scolded to “only wash hands” above the sink. What in the world must have prompted that to be posted?! To be honest I left more worried about catching something there from the unsanitary conditions.

I've had 5 Primary Care Physicians at UCLA - Santa Clarita in the last 3 years. What does that tell you? UCLA Health has now decided to compete with other MEDICARE providers. Nothing wrong with that, except even with their most expensive plan, you may not be eligible to use your "regular" doctor. Appointments? You might routinely wait 3 to 5 months for an appointment, and it will make no difference what type of UCLA plan you have. IMHO, if you live in the wonderful Santa Clarita Valley, you'll have a better experience with Providence/Facey or one of the other providers!

They charged me over $600 for a new patient visit, after my insurance discounted it by $400. That's four times the cost of the same new patient visit almost anywhere else. I have no intention of returning and would advise anyone who values their money to stay away.
