I rarely write negative reviews, but if this helps just one person avoid this place, it’ll be worth it! The staff is friendly and makes you feel comfortable, but beware—they may exaggerate the amount of work you need. Also, be prepared to spend several hours there if they’re busy.
When I arrived, I checked in and completed the new patient paperwork. I was called back within 15 minutes for X-rays, but it took the assistant an entire hour to complete them. I kept gagging, and my eyes were watering from how far back the X-ray plates were placed. I’ve had X-rays done many times before and never experienced anything like that.
After the X-rays, I was taken to a chair to wait for the dentist’s exam. That wait took an additional hour.
During the exam, the dentist told me I needed a significant amount of work done. While I don’t mind addressing dental issues, something felt off, and I decided to seek a second opinion.
Before leaving, they kept pushing me to buy a mouthguard and tried to get me to sign a contract that day for all the out-of-pocket expenses they claimed I needed to pay.
Three hours later, I left feeling exhausted and disheartened.
I eventually went to another dentist for a second opinion, and they were far more thorough. It turns out, I didn’t need even half of the work Western Dental said I did!
It’s really concerning that some offices, especially those that accept primarily medical patients, seem to inflate treatment needs just to meet quotas. It’s disheartening and unethical to see them take advantage of people like this.
Do yourself a favor—if something feels off, get a second opinion!

I found out last week that Western Dental fraudulently charged my credit card for a procedure that they aren’t going to perform, but a procedure that my insurance would cover 100%. Western Dental lied to me. And they won’t refund my money.

I brought my 85-year-old grandmother in for a quick denture impression appointment, but the visit ended up taking over an hour and a half due to staffing shortages. The impression itself took less than 5 minutes. My grandmother had not eaten and was becoming increasingly uncomfortable, so I inquired if there was any possibility of seeing her sooner. We were given the option to either wait an additional 15 minutes or reschedule. Given that we had driven nearly an hour to get to the appointment, it was disappointing to experience such delays, especially considering that rescheduling would have been more efficient from the start.

This place has been an issue for me. About a year ago, I wrote a review about one of the gals nearly causing me to pass out due to a horrific job of making a mouth guard for me. There was way too much foam and it shot to the back of my throat, sealed itself, then cut off my airway.
Anyway, today’s issue comes from them not sending my records and X-rays in a timely manner. All I need is an email of my records, and they had more than half the work day to get them over. I never got them. Now I’m probably going to have to fork up out of pocket money to get new X-rays even though I don’t need them. They seem to be way too busy and the customers suffer because of it.

I took my son for a consultation for his wisdom teeth to be removed. I was told they would submit authorization to the insurance and he was scheduled for 2/3/25. We get to the day of his procedure. Appointment was at 9:30. We arrived at 9:25. There was still 4 people in front of him to get theirs removed. Finally got called back around 11 to go over "financials" and what the procedure entailed. I was then told he needed bone grafts and PRF treatments. Oh, and those are out of pocket, not covered by insurance. $2000. No biggie...sure. ok. So the oral surgeon came in and spoke with me and my son. He explained that we could hold off on the bone grafts, but the PRF treatments were ideal to get. What's that you ask? It's when they use your plasma for quicker healing. Pack it into the pockets. Same as a PRP treatment for bones that orthopedic surgeons do. Let me tell you where the surgeon went wrong while explaining this PRF treatment to me. He said "Neurosurgeons use it all the time." Funny. I have worked for neurosurgeons for 9 years...never heard of them doing those treatments. So I immediately texted my doctor. She laughed. She said they have never used that. She didn't even know what that abbreviation was. She asked 3 other dentists, including a gum dentist friend, and she was told it's not necessary, only if requested. My son is 16 with no health issues. Why wouldn't he heal quickly anyway? They wanted me to spend an extra $1400 for just the bottom holes. Just for him to not be in pain for a few extra days. Nope. No thank you. When I declined, I wasn't even questioned. He had his wisdom teeth removed 3 hours after his scheduled time. Good thing i took the full day off of work to spend it at the dentist office. I have tried calling the office to ask questions, but no one ever answers. Not even the call center could get through because they are so short staffed and only have 1 person working up front. The one person who has been very helpful is Yesenia. And I really appreciate her hard work.
